In May 30th, 2017, CBIPA held Chinnovation 2017: São Paulo, the most important conference to showcase innovation and dominance from Chinese tech companies. Coming from China were 25 entrepreneurs, executives and investors, whose companies amounts to over US$ 200 billion aggreated valuation.

Lessons From a Business Pioneer

Cristiano Andrade works for the Department for International Trade UK (DIT-UK) leading the Technology and Smart Cities sector team in Brazil. His role is to foster and develop relationship between British and Brazilian technology companies as well as to promote the UK tech scene. Cristiano has a vast experience working with start-ups, incubators, investors and tech parks for over 15 years dealing with innovation and businesses development.He holds a master degree in Marketing Management from University of Westminster in London and is a member of the Global Intelligence Alliance (GIA).

Previously, he has worked as an entrepreneur in four (4) technology-based start-ups in the Boston area,

where he has worked closely with the innovation ecosystem of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Gustavo Rotta is a partner of Deloitte dedicated to innovation initiatives. He works from Deloitte Brasil's Tax Consulting area, with experience in research and development programs and in the implementation of technological solutions for tax procedures. Rotta works with global companies in projects involving international operations.

Bernardo read economics (at ITAM, Mexico and Autónoma de Barcelona, Spain), history (Oxford) and received a doctorate in business administration (Manchester Business School). He has been studying financial markets and institutions since 1988. He joined Bangor as Professor of Business History and Bank Management after appointments in Leicester, Open University and Queen's University of Belfast. He combined full time appointments with consulting and executive training in Europe, the Gulf states, Latin America and Asia. Bernardo has over 40 refereed articles, three books and eight distance learning books. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, research associate of Fundación Estudios Financieros (Fundef – ITAM), and edits a weekly report on new working papers  in Payments and Financial Technology (see http://lists.repec.org/mailman/listinfo/nep-pay).

Ignacio Pereyra
